One of my coworkers was starting a monthly show called Voice of The Ninja and needed an original logo for the show. He had a good idea what he wanted the logo to be, so from his direction I created the first concept, which was completly vector based.
From there we decided to take a more realistic direction with the logo. We did a photo shoot [he's the one in the ninja garb] to create the reference material. I created a vector version again in Illistrator and then imported it into PhotoShop to create all the shading layers. The completed logo is used in the intro of episodes as well as on the ninja's interview mic box.
The entire project took about 12 hours.
